If you’re looking for a little extra storage space, check out Idrive-E. They offer 2 gigs of free storage space to use to your liking. They also have an plan for unlimited space that’s only $4.95/month. I’ve been thinking about using the free option for Online Backup of my blogs, and as an extra little bit of space to back up my stuff when I need to reformat. Of course, my entire hard drive isn’t going to fit on 2 gigs of space, but it could come in handy. That’s one less flash drive I would have to buy.
There’s also a new feature called Idrive-S which allows you to share files and folders with anyone you choose. That’s a definitely plus. I really don’t like most of the other filesharing services out there these days due to slow speeds and site downtimes, but I would definitely give the service a try to see if it meets my standards. It would save me the hassle of running a private ftp or a program that allows access to my hard drive, making things more secure when sharing things with family and friends.
