The Lazy Days Of Summer

It definitely feels like summer around here. It’s 92 right now, and it’s only going to get hotter. Throw that thick southern humidity in the mix, and you can see exactly why I’m being extremely lazy today. I had plans. I wanted to get some laundry done. My god we have way too much laundry for a 2 person household! I was going to hang my clothes on the line to cut down on the power bill, but I have to get them all out early enough to dry before the afternoon pop up storms start rolling in.

I was going to spend a good bit of time outside with the puppy. He loves being outside so much, but he just can’t stay out there for long with those bulldog breathing problems. I was going to take him out for awhile this morning, maybe try to get him in his kiddie pool so he can get used to the water. He runs from the hose, but we want to take him to the lake, so I’m hoping he’ll learn to love the kiddie pool.

Unfortunately I slept late ’til almost 1 because I stayed up all night working, then I got caught up in my book again. I finally finished it this morning around 5:30 and went to sleep. Otherwise I would still be asleep. Lately it all makes me feel like I’m a teenager again, staying up all night doing whatever, then sleeping the summer days away because I can.

Transformers!

I know what I’m going to be for Halloween this year! If there’s one thing I miss from my childhood, it’s Transformers, and these costumes are so freakin’ cool!

Curtains

I finally got my new blinds in this week, and they look nice, but now the old curtains looks so horrible. I’ve had curtains on my to buy list for awhile, but I’ve been holding off hoping my grandma would make some more for me. She made the ones for my bathroom, living room, and dining room, but I need something to go over the french doors we never use in the den, and the windows in the living room.

If I do have to breakdown and buy what I need, I might have to see about getting ready made curtains like the ones sold by Terry’s Fabrics. At least ready made curtains are normally both stylish and affordable. I have to remember that I will have a budget to work with here!

Being Smoke Free…For Me

I finally have my new stop smoking blog up and rolling. It’s called Being Smoke Free For Me, and I will be beginning my journey to no more smoking first thing tomorrow.
