Moving In

I feel like I’ve been running in circles today.  A friend of ours just went back to work with hubby.  They work about 45 minutes away from our house in the NC mountains.  Our friend lives about 45 minutes from us in the other direction, so it’s become quite a drive for him to get to work.  To help him out, he’s been staying with us during the week and riding to work with hubby, but my guest room has totally turned into my junk room, so he’s had to sleep on the couch.

We decided to just let our friend move in with us until he gets his own place closer to work, so I’ve been working like crazy today to get the guest room cleaned up.  It’s A LOT of work, mostly because hubby has an ungodly amount of boxes of junk sitting around that he refuses to get rid of.  Seriously, he never even touches the stuff until I say I’m going to throw it out.  I might as well start sorting through the boxes on my own without telling him.  I could understand if it was stuff that was really important to him like things from his childhood, but most of the boxes are full of old car magazines he bought in high school.

What would you do?  Should I just trash the stuff like that and not tell him?
