Hubby’s doing a lot better today. The swelling in his broken foot has gone down some, but the swelling in his banged up foot is still pretty bad. Actually it began to swell up more, so we decided to take him on back to the doctor for a checkup on it. The doc said the swelling is fine, and he expected it to swell more, but he gave him some antibiotics just to make sure no infection sets up. He’s still not able to walk on the crutches and won’t be for a while, but he can now put some weight on his right foot to help him get out of bed onto his little office he rolls around in. The doctor said the chair was a great idea since he can’t fit the wheelchair in the house.

Hubby’s spirits are definitely better. He’s joking around now about buying a sidecar and customizing it for a sports bike so he can ride. Haha!

Sand Art

I’m all the time looking for awesome videos to watch, and this one really caught my eye. If you love art in any form you should find this video interesting. It’s 4 minutes of creating sand art on a projector. I was simply amazed.

Pitiful

I feel so sorry for hubby right now. He looks so pitiful I could almost promise him anything. If he said “Baby let’s go to Tropicana Las Vegas.” I’d say probably say ok let’s go! I just feel bad that he can’t really move around too much. He won’t be able to stand on his bruised foot for days, and we know the broken one will be weeks. He’s been pushing himself around on a desk chair I bought him this morning because the wheel chair is too big to fit through the bedroom and bathroom doors. He’s making the most out of it though. He’s using his crutches as paddles and chasing the dog around in his chair when he can, but if he sits up too long his legs start to ache. I can’t imagine what it would feel like to not have the use of both feet at once.

After Wreck Thoughts

Well now I know I really need to rethink getting life insurance. We’d get mortgage life insurance, but we don’t own our home. I can’t imagine what I’d do if something had happened to hubby. It’s bad enough that we don’t have health insurance right now, so we’ll have to pay the full ER bill. Hubby’s boss just took out health insurance on us, but it doesn’t kick in for another 2 weeks. Go figure!

Anyway, I’ve got some more photos I just took of hubby’s legs. The swelling has gone down some on the broken ankle, but they both look pretty bad. Because I know some of you might not like seeing stuff like that (even though it’s not really bad), I’m going to keep them off the front page. If you would like to see the photos…
