Design Bug Has Bitten

If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed. Thanks for visiting!

After I spent so much time making my header the other day I’ve spent a lot of time working with PSP making a few signature tags. See I love to design things, although I admit I’m not always great at it, but I’ve been in a PSP slump lately. I left most of the tagging groups I’ve been a member of for years, and I just hadn’t felt like messing with Paint Shop Pro. Every time I’ve opened the program in the past couple of months I’ve sat there and stared at it. The ideas just wouldn’t flow. I basically forced myself to make my header, and I’m very pleased with the way it turned out, so I made a quick little footer to go with it. Scroll down and check it out if you haven’t yet. It’s not finished by no means. I’ve still got to do some color tweaking, but it’s simple and I like it.

Even though I left all my other groups I joined a new tagging group a friend of mine, Kim, started up recently. The group’s called Sweet Sensations, and so far I’ve seen some very nice things come through. I think that’s another reason why I’m starting to get out of my tagging rut. If you make signature tags or like them, check out the group! Now that the design bug has bitten me again (and I have more free time), I’ll be designing and sharing some of my tags exclusively there.

New Header With Popeye Wong Artwork

What do you guys think of my new header image? I spent about 5 hours working on it to get it just right, so I hope you all enjoy it. If you do enjoy the artwork, please stop by Popeye Wong’s website. He’s the artist of this awesome artwork, and he’s one of the few artists left who will allow taggers like myself to use their images for personal use on tags and layouts without charging usage fees. He’s got a lots of other awesome drawings that I wish I could have fit on my header, but I only had so much room to work with or I would have used them all!

Let me warn you he does have a lot of AC content, so if you don’t want to see nudity even on cartoon images he’s not the artist for you. If you don’t mind a little AC content, please stop by and say hello to him!

Hiding From Aliens?

Just when I thought Tom Cruise was already weird enough…

I guess he can be a bigger freak than I thought.

Finally Feel Rested & More Troubles For Hubby

I finally got my first full night’s sleep last night. I’ve had so much going on with hubby that I just haven’t been sleeping well, and I finally made it to bed last night about midnight and woke up about 15 minutes ago. It’s so nice to finally sleep so long. I’ve been tossing and turning every night worried about hubby’s leg.

You’ve probably noticed I haven’t been quite MIA, but I haven’t been around my blogs as much as usual. That’s because I’ve had to worry over hubby a lot this week. If you’ve got a week stomach I suggest stopping here, but if you’re interested in what happened I’m going to hide the rest of the story from the main page.

Didn’t Curiousity Kill It?

Curious As A Cat Week 84

These are some rather tough questions this week, but I’m going to answer them as best as I can. I’m definitely having to think!

1) When was the best time, or what was the best experience, you’ve had with a sibling?

That’s really hard to say because I can’t pin point it down to just one experience. My sister and I have so many happy memories together, as well as a few bad ones. I would definitely consider having her standing by me as my maid of honor on my wedding day as one of the best experiences we’ve had together so far.

2) When do you feel the loneliest?

I suffer from anxiety and panic attacks, so I would have to say I feel the loneliest when I’m having an attack and no one else is home to help me through it.

3) If a one-year period of your diary were to be published with your name attached, what year would you prefer?

I would probably choose the year my parents split. My dad walked out 2 weeks before my 18th birthday and sent my world spinning out of control. I’ve gone back and read a few things I wrote during that time, and I have say I really learned quite a few lessons through my writing then.

4) What has been the biggest accomplishment of your life (so far)?

Just getting out and making it on my own without having to constantly turn to others for help.

5) Show and Tell. What comes to mind first when you see this picture? Or, tell a story if it reminds you of one.
