Everyday Randomness

I just can’t stop thinking about houses right now.  I really hope I can convince my grandma to sell, but I have this horrible feeling in my stomach that says it’s not going to happen.

I’ve been looking at “starter houses” in the area that need a little work.  We’re definitely a couple who can purchase a cheaper house that needs work.  That’s what I love about having a full fledged construction husband who can fix about anything.  No matter what house we buy, the first thing I’m going to do is install hardwood floors, possibly Armstrong Global Exotics because I love the look.  Right now we’ve got outdated linoleum throughout our house from the ’70s, and I loathe it.  Floormall.com has some great prices on the exact flooring I’ve been drooling over.

If we are able to purchase our current house, then we’ve decided to gut most of it.  The rooms are really small, and the layout is whack.  We’d like to change things around to make it more convenient.  We also want to add a second bathroom, but we know it’s not going to be possible if we can’t purchase the house.  We’ve begged for approval for a second bathroom, and it’s just not going to happen.

Oh well, I need to make hubby’s lunch and get him out the door.  I’ll give an update after I have “the talk” with my grandparents.
