One thing I’ve noticed about my migraines is that they’re coming on more frequently lately. I’m thinking it’s because I’ve had to spend a lot more time looking at the computer screen straining my eyes. I could go back to the doctor to seek another type of headache treatment, but I know what he’s going to say. He’ll tell me to go see my optometrist to see if I need glasses again.
My eyes have always been weird. I have a yearly visit with the good ‘ole eye doctor because I have a pretty bad case of astigmatism. I don’t have to wear glasses, but that’s because of how weird my eyes are. My eyes seem to adjust to whatever problems I have. One year I might be a little far sighted. The next year I’m a little near sighted. It’s been like this since I was about 8. I had glasses at one time when I was a kid, but the doctor stopped prescribing new ones because I would have to change them out every year. Even with a very mild prescription my eyes would adjust to the opposite of what they should be, and they actually adjust closer to normal without the glasses.
Another thing I need to do is cut my hair again. My migraines are always worse when my hair is longer. My hair is really thick, so thick the one time I got a perm it took 3 perms to finish the job, and when I let it grow out there’s a lot of extra weight pulling down on my head. I cut it off to right above my shoulders at the beginning of the summer. That’s the shortest it’s ever been, and I have to admit I hardly had any migraines or headaches at all when it was that short. Now that I’ve let it grow half way down my back again (yeah it grows very fast, too), I’m having the headaches more often. I really wanted to wait until I’ve got a few more inches to cut off, so I’ll have enough to make a donation to Locks of Love, but I might just have to go ahead and chop it off again. Does anybody else have experience with their headaches being worse with longer hair?

I didn’t know you had migraines. I’m on a preventative and it’s the best thing I ever did, well almost the best thing.
I had daily migraines and now I’m down to maybe 1 or 2 a month sometimes none at all.
Please check into this.
