Never Enough Hot Water

If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed. Thanks for visiting!

I think I’m going to talk to my grandparents about getting a new hot water heater for this house. My grandpa replaced the old one right before we moved in, but he installed a small one. It’s so small that you can get about 15 minutes in the shower before it starts to turn cold on you. After 20 minutes you’ve got ice water. I thought about taking a shower this morning to keep me awake, but then I decided I didn’t like the thought of standing in ice water after hubby drained the tank for his morning shower.

I’d really like to have one of those Tankless Hot Water Heaters. Think about all the problems that would be solved! Not only are they more energy efficient, but you get endless hot water! Hubby and I have talked about going that route whenever our current one dies, but I’m just so sick of constantly waiting for the water to heat up.

I wish I lived somewhere around Seattle, Los Angeles, or San Diego. I’d definitely have the notion to call the Fast Water Heater guys to come install one today even though hubby would probably kill me for buying something that big without asking him first. I’d just remind him about how the tankless hot water heaters run at 80% efficiency, and he’d probably forgive me instantly.

I Just Want To Sleep

Dang it I hate waiting around for the vet’s office to open.  I seriously feel like falling asleep sitting here.  Then again if I didn’t use a super comfy recliner as my office chair I probably would be so sleepy right now.  If I got up off my lazy butt and did some housework I wouldn’t be as sleepy either, but I just don’t feel like moving.  It’s Friday, and I’ve got the right to be lazy right?

I did take some time this morning to fill out some of my Christmas cards, so those of you who are exchanging cards with me will be receiving theirs pretty soon.  I can’t seem to find what I did with my stamps, so it looks like I’ll have to swing by the post office to grab some more so I can get these in the mail.  If you haven’t emailed me yet, but you want to exchange Christmas cards you’ve still got plenty of time.  All you have to do is email me (jshustermanATcharterDOTnet) with your address and blog name, and I’ll reply back with mine.  Like I said before, don’t worry I won’t be sending you junk mail or selling your address unless you ask me to!

15 more minutes and I can call the vet…yay!  I really just want to put my head on my pillow right now and fall into a really deep sleep.  We’ll see how it goes after I talk to the vet.

Back To The Vet…Again

So what do you think about my first post from my new computer?  It’s taken me all night to get everything moved, but I can finally say she’s finished!  I’ve been waiting months to get this girl together, and I have to say it’s so much nicer than having to shut down every few minutes because my old pc is overheating while the motherboard is slowly dieing.

Now I would seriously love to go pass out, but I can’t do that just yet.  I’ve got to call the vet as soon as the office opens in an hour.  Bubba lost two more staples last night.  That means he’s only got 1 out of 5 left, and he’s also got 2 stitches that should have come out a week ago.  I need to talk to the vet to see if they’re ready to be removed, and I’ve got to get him to look at the new hole created in the middle of his tail from losing the staples.

I seriously just wish it would heal already.  The poor guy doesn’t even seem to notice he’s got a huge hole in his tail, but it bothers me knowing it’s there.  He’ll probably have to start on another run of antibiotics, so I want to get him an appointment with the vet first thing in the morning.  I’d be taking him in today, but I know Dr. Ross isn’t working today, and since he’s the one that operated I want him to see what’s going on this week.

Saving A Few Bucks

It doesn’t matter what time of year it is, there’s always a time for saving cash. My mom is always asking me how I save so much money when I shop. The answer is always simple. I shop online, and I use a ton of online coupons. My mom doesn’t own a computer or care much about the internet, so she still just doesn’t understand how easy it is for me to find coupons online. I try to explain that it’s just like clipping coupons from the paper, but I guess it really isn’t the same after all.

I had to laugh when our local news station decided to do a “Buyer 411″ segment this year that taught people exactly how to go online and search for online coupons to use for their Christmas shopping. Christmas isn’t the only time of the year you can save money people. I never finalize a purchase anywhere online without doing a quick search for an online coupon. 9 times out of 10 I’ll find something even if it’s just 10% off or free shipping. These things add up!

I always hit up CouponChief as my first stop when looking for online shopping coupons. They’ve got great resources for a ton of the online stores where I like to shop. I will still be taking advantage of online coupons well after the holiday season is over and done, but I do still have a few presents left to buy, and I can definitely use a few online coupons for those purchases.

Hubby wants a specific tool set from Sears, so I’ll be taking advantage of the free shipping on that. Then we’ve still got to buy gifts for the pets. Yes, we make cute little stockings for Bubba and Alley full of toys and treats, so I’ll probably hit up the coupons for PetSmart.

Whether you’re shopping online during the holiday season or buying stuff throughout the year don’t forget to check out online coupons for every order you make. You never know when you’re going to save!
