I talked to the vet last night, and I meant to update everyone about Bubba, but I was so tired that I fell asleep. I totally missed the last 10 minutes of Heroes!
Anyway, Bubba will be having his surgery tomorrow. We’ve got to drop him off first thing in the morning. They’re going to do the neutering first, then they’ll remove his tail. I was hoping we wouldn’t have to go through with the tail removal, but at this point we’ve got no choice. It isn’t a screw tail, but it grew close to his body, so it’s going to keep getting infected over and over if we don’t remove it. He should be out of surgery and ready to go home by 5.
Of course hubby’s babying him worse than he would our own child. He swears the dog’s going to be mad at him when he wakes up without a tail or balls. I just feel bad because these meds have kept him all doped up all week. He stumbles around, and if he walks more than 2-3 steps at a time he falls over. I bought puppy pads last night because taking him outside doped up like this is hard enough. I don’t know how it’s going to be when he’s sore from the surgery.
I’m just glad we’re getting it all over with at once. Not only is it cheaper, but the vet said the recovery should be easier, plus he’ll only have to stay doped up for 1 week instead of going through it twice.

[...] rubbing my tails, and I jumped aways. My tail hurts sometimes if you rubs it wrongs because of my surgeries. If you didn’t knows I had surgeries, I had to have part of my tail cut offs. Mommy says [...]
