Blood Work
I need to schedule another appointment for more blood work. The last tests I had ran right before Christmas came back normal, but like I mentioned in my Hashimoto’s post that can keep happening if my blood work isn’t done at the right time. The constant fatigue, mood swings, and insomnia are all symptoms of the thyroid disease my sister suffers from. Hashimoto’s can cause ups and downs. One day you’re full of energy, but the next you have none.
The doctor called yesterday to tell me my results were normal, but of course I didn’t check my voice mail until tonight. He asked me to call him back to set up a schedule for blood work every 3 or 4 weeks for awhile. That way maybe we can catch an elevation when I’m having multiple symptoms. We’ll that’s happening like crazy right now, but the problem is that it’s the holidays. Do you know how hard it is to get into a doctor’s office right now?
The problem with Hashimoto’s is it’s so hard to diagnose. I’ve got almost all of the symptoms except the elevated antibodies because those can come and go. My sister was diagnosed at 18, but she went through 2 years of testing before they were able to give her a correct diagnosis. In the beginning the doctors thought she might be suffering from fibromyalgia or chronic fatigue syndrome.
All I really know at this point is that I’m tired of feeling like this. I’m tired of not getting a correct diagnosis, and I’m tired of the medical bills piling up. If I’m diagnosed I have a chance at getting state help because it’s a chronic illness.

I’m hoping you get a diagnosis soon. I’m also hoping it’s not Hashimoto’s. If you need anything you know how to get in touch. Unfortunately I’m all too familiar with doctor’s, tests and diagnoses.
