Web Design & IT Solutions

I mentioned yesterday that I would really like to have a full custom design for my site, but I just haven’t had the time to sit down and make one. One of the reasons is because I’ve been booming with customers for my computer repair business lately. Those business cards I put out in a few places really have helped!

Anywho here’s a company that’s great at multi-tasking because unlike me they can find the time to not only customize their own stuff, but they offer affordable web site design while still finding the time to offer a ton of IT solutions to meet your needs whether it’s for your home or business. You know why Fastteks can do it better than I can right now? That’s because they’ve got a full staff of highly trained professionals ready to help. Me? I’m just little ‘ole me right now, but maybe one day my business will be booming so much that I have to hire an assistant!

Things You Might Not Know

My little cousin Malese tagged me to do another one of those memes that asks you a ton of random questions. I’ve gotten tired of doing these lately, but it’s 4:30 in the am and this one asks a few questions I haven’t seen anywhere else.

Tag a few people to respond.
Everyday or anybody can respond. Right now I don’t care.

Someone knocks on your window at 2 am, who do you think it to be?
Well I’d really love for it to be Channing Tatum, but I seriously doubt that will ever happen.

Who was the hottest teacher you ever had?
That would be the guy that was my honors reading and science teacher in 6th grade, and for the life of me I can’t remember his name any more. Man I’m getting old.

Have you ever made out in a movie theater?
Yeah, I was a teenager once.

What body part do you wash first?
My hair/head. I work my way down.

Do you have any piercings?
nope. I have this fear of the piercing gun.

What’s your favorite flavored Pringles?
It’s a close tie between loaded baked potato and chili cheese

Do you parallel park or drive around the block?
We really don’t have parallel parking around here.

Have you ever had two dates in one night?
Yes, I was a bad girl at one time and I lined up two dates at once. At least I wasn’t that bad. My friend who totally never understood my taste in guys set me up on a blind date. I went on the blind date to please her, faked a headache, then went on a date with a guy I liked. :-p

How many times have you been cussed out?
Plenty, but I’ve done my share of the cussing, too.

Have you ever been to a gay bar?
Yep, the 6-2-1 aka the 9 aka the coolest club with EDM in the upstate of South Caki

Is there one thing all of your ex’s have had in common?
Yep, they lost me.

Did you french kiss before you were 16?
Yeah. I got caught by a teacher making out pretty hard with my boyfriend at our 8th Grade Dance. :-p

Have you ever been cow-tipping or snipe-hunting?
Man I used to go cow tipping all the time. It’s easy to do when you’re Daddy owns the pastures.
Two words of advice…use a 4wheeler and don’t tip the bull!

Have you ever had a poem or a song written about you?
Yes. One of my guy friend (non boyfriend ever) wrote a really sweet song about me before we went off to college. I still have it on tape around here somewhere.

What was your childhood nickname?
Depends on who you ask. My dad’s best friend always called me “Niffer”. Most of my friends called me “Bug” or “J-Bug”

When is the last time you played the air guitar?
Earlier tonight when hubby and I were taking turns on the guitar on Rock Band. I’d play air guitar when I wasn’t playing the game one.

Have you ever peeked in the opposite sexes locker room
Haha many times. I was an assistant trainer for football games. :-D

Name something you do when you’re alone?
Read, play on the pc, sleep

How many drinks does it take before you get drunk?
Depends on what I’m drinking. I’m a pretty cheap beer drunk, but I can handle my liquor….I know I’m backwards.

How often do you clean out your ears?
Two or three times a day actually.

Have you ever stuck a foreign object up your nose?
haha yeah. And I convinced my sister to stuff buttons up her nose when we were kids. Yeah that one landed her in the emergency room and me with a worn out butt.

Donating Cars To Make Videos

Hubby and I had planned to donate a couple cars to charity this year, but it doesn’t look like we’ll be getting it done in time for our donations to count towards this year’s tax season. We’ve got a couple of “junkers” that aren’t really junk, but we just don’t have any use for them anymore.

First we’ve got my old Saturn. It’s been wrecked (some doped up kid tried to make his own lane while we were sitting in the median), but the plastic body pieces it needs to fix it are relatively cheap. The problem is we’re tired of feeding it transmissions. In 3 years we went through 5 transmissions because of the differential pin breaking. It would sling through the bell housing leaving a nice big hole (factory weakness), and we eventually got tired of it. We had the last pin welded in place, but hubby thinks he’s a race car driver, so I gave up trying to fix it. With a new transmission, someone who won’t rag it, and a new front quarter panel it’ll be a nice car.

Next we’ve got the Taurus. Hubby’s Grandma isn’t able to drive anymore, so she gave us her 92 Taurus when we parked the Saturn for the last time. We drove the Taurus for a total of 2 weeks before it died. Yep, yet another transmission went out on us. We were going to fix it, but we just never got around to it. By the time hubby did decide to tear into it, we decided we didn’t want to shell out extra cash for Ford specialty tools because we will never own another Ford. We know that for a fact.

With a new transmission the Taurus will be a great car, and that’s what’s great about car donations. The car doesn’t have to be in perfect condition to donate it. There are some charities who repair the cars and give them to families in need. There are other charities that just auction the cars to raise cash for their foundation, and then there are charities like Car Angel who use the cash from the auctions to produce a product that will help others.

Car Angel is a non-profit organization that uses the cash from the car auctions and other donations to make videos targeted to kids and teens. The videos are centered around lessons all children should learn. Some of them are religious oriented, but all of them teach important lessons. One of the videos focuses on drug use, and the problems it can cause. I especially like that one because I’ve seen so many people around me fall victim to drug abuse. It’s a video that I think every teenager should watch. Car Angels has given away over 2.4 million of these videos already, and with more donations they’ll be able to keep producing videos just like this one.

Blogging 365 Days A Year

Because Patrick’s doing it (and I want to be uber cool like him), I signed up for Blog 365. What is it? It’s basically a challenge to blog at least once a day everyday for the entire year of 2008 with the exception of February 29 since it’s a leap year. I signed up for this thinking heck I know I can do it. I blog everyday anyway.

The best part is if you have more than one blog you don’t have to blog on the same one everyday. As long as you’re posting something on any of your blogs it counts. It can be a meme, video, photo, anything!

If you participated in NaBloPoMo then this is exactly like that except x12! Come on, join us in our quest to blog everyday for the next year! Don’t forget to visit my profile to add me as a friend!
