Mo’ Money
Hubby just called. He’s on his way home because the rain has gotten to the point where it’s coming down too steady to work outside, but he had some really good news! We’ve been waiting on some inheritance money we were getting from his Grandma’s house selling, and his dad has the money for us today!
Yay!!!!
My father in law deposited the cash in his bank, and they’re headed to withdraw our portion right now. Then hubby’s going to go straight to our bank. I can use $1000 to catch us back up on bills, pay some things in advance, and to buy the tires we need. I’m going to transfer the other $2000 to ING Direct savings account to go towards taxes.
You don’t know how much of a relief that is. Now I only have to come up with about $2800 for taxes. We’ve been slack with our budget here lately, but if I go back to our old budget I can pinch pennies enough to save the $2800 by April.
I also keep forgetting I need to take my pennies to the Coinstar machine at Ingles. I’ve got 2 huge Igloo coolers full of pennies, and I’m not about to hand roll all of those. I rolled $64 in nickels and dimes this morning, and I haven’t even gotten to my quarters yet. I’ll be sticking all of that change in savings, too.
After this and the Charter techs showing up without me calling 10 times things really aren’t going to be as bad as I thought.
*Edit* I see that the Utterz post I made from my cell phone about the Charter techs hasn’t shown up yet, so if it doesn’t I’ll fill you in on that after I get back from lunch with hubby.
