Stormy Weather & Little Sleep

Today has been a really messed up day around here. First I had to deal with a massive amount of storms this morning, and if you don’t know I have panic attacks when it storms. I don’t know why. It’s something I’ve tried to overcome, but it’s something I’ve dealt with since childhood.

I’m perfectly fine if someone is home with me, but I panic the second I’m at home alone. Normally I plan ahead for stormy weather, and I just walk next door to spend some time with my Grandparents until the storm passes. If I’ve got a lot of stuff to accomplish I’ll take my laptop with me and work on what I can, so at least I can say my panic attacks don’t affect my work.

This morning I decided to leave the laptop at home, and I opted for a nap on their couch instead. I slept for maybe 4 hours before hubby came home from work and showed up. I guess I didn’t plan on getting a lot of sleep in today anyway.

My Second Family

Let me introduce to you my best friend Allison, her adorable son, and my 2nd favorite dog in the world, Gixxer. She just gave me permission to share this one, and I think it’s totally cute.

Hanging Out

I’m hanging out at my friend Allison’s house right now, and I have to admit I’m liking her internet service. She’s got Verizon’s wireless internet for her laptop, so it’s not as fast as I would like, but she can take it anywhere at anytime. I’m debating on getting that for just my laptop. Of course it would be a splurge considering I would be keeping my home internet service as well, but at least I’d be able to take my laptop with me at all times. It’d be much easier than blogging “on location via my cell phone. I’m still debating though because the cheapest package is $49.99/month, and that seems kind of steep for service that is barely 1MB at most times. I’ll just have to see what hubby thinks since it would be a tax write off anyway.
