I’m so glad I didn’t have any troubles when I upgraded Wordpress on this blog. I would have been pulling my hair out kind of like I’m doing now with my motorcycle blog. I’m having huge problems over there.
I followed the Wordpress upgrade instructions as normal, and at first everything looked fine. I went to write a post, and I ran into my first problem. I’ve tried to write 3 posts, and none of them are saving, showing, etc.
So then I started messing with my plugins. I can’t activate or deactivate anything. I can’t change my widgets, and I can’t change my layout.
To me it looks like I’ve got a problem with my database. Nothing is saving or updating, so I’ll try to work on that a little later. Thankfully I have my backups just for situations like this, but I really hope that’s the problem. If the problem isn’t with my database then I don’t know what it could be.
