He Had The Nerve

Filled Under: Family & Friends

Remember the friend that stayed with hubby and I for a couple months at the end of the summer because he was down on his luck? Yeah he’s the one I kicked to the curb because he kept rearranging my cabinets, throwing away my stuff, and telling me I needed to buy a new LCD TV just because he wanted it. Yep, he made my life a living hell for almost 3 months, and guess what!

He had the nerve to ask hubby if he could stay with us again! When I kicked him out he moved back into his mom’s house. Well apparently his mom quit her job and he blows his cash on junk, so no one’s paid the bills. The house has a double mortgage on it, and the bank isn’t very happy about it. Now he’s not going to have a place to live anymore.

He acts like he can come running back here, and I’ll gladly take him in again. HECK NO. I gave him a chance, and he took advantage of us. I can’t even believe he had the nerve to ask hubby if he could stay with us again.

Wow we had a very similar situation a few years ago with a friend of my husbands. He totally disrupted - first my life and then my husbands when he “temporarily” stayed with us for a few months. We ended up kicking him out too. He went back to living with his parents. Geez maybe it’s the same guy? LOL

My husband has slowly become friendly with him again - not really friends, but he’ll talk to him if we go somewhere and he happens to be there. I could see my husband saying yes again if he ever asked to stay with us. It won’t happen though! I won’t let it.

If this guy disrupted your home life as bad as it sounds do not let him come back.

He will never stay here again!

I don’t even consider him a friend any longer, but he’s been very thick with hubby for many years. I told hubby I don’t have a problem with their friendship, I just won’t let him take advantage of me any longer.

What I haven’t mentioned is that this guy dated my sister a couple years ago. They were engaged for 6 months before she ditched him because he just wouldn’t grow up. He blows his own money, doesn’t take anything seriously, then expects his friends and family to pick up the slack for him! He expected her to pay all of his bills while he blew his cash.

NOT happening! It’s a harsh reality he’s got to face.

Most of the time I would have a hard time saying no, but with that situation I think I’d be right there with a fast no!

[...] I’m more than a little bit pissy tonight. I tried to go to sleep, but my Mama always taught me never to go to bed pissed off. For those of you that remember the so called friend that lived with us awhile, he’s back. For those of you who don’t know about him, you can read all you need to know throughout this blog. [...]
