Everyday Randomness

Bubba jumped up out of my lap and ran to the window, so I had to go investigate.  When I turned my game off I could hear voices, so I looked out and saw Hubby pulling out of the driveway, and he seriously took off like he was in a big hurry to get somewhere.  He’d dropped his dad off at his truck (they carpool), and left.  I tried to catch my FIL, but by the time I threw on my jacket (that wind is wicked) and flip flops he was already gone.

It’s weird because Hubby didn’t come inside to say “Hey baby we’re home, and I’ve got to go do this.”  He’s just not like that.  He always comes inside first to tell me he’s home even if he just needs to run up to the store to get gas.

I tried to call him, but he left his phone here this morning, and my FIL has his phone turned off.   I know I’m probably freaking out, but this is a touchy time right now.  Hubby’s Grandma is in the hospital for 100% blockage in a major artery.

She’s been in and out of the hospital over the last couple of years because of it, and she’s too bad off for surgery.  A few months ago she wanted to go into assisted living, but by that point no one would take her because her health is too bad.  This time they’ve told us most of her organs like her kidneys and liver are starting to shut down, so it’s only a matter of time before her heart does, too.  Of course they can’t give us any kind of time frame.

If hubby’s mom called to say that something was wrong, they’d take off to the hospital before getting in touch with me.  That’s what I’d expect him to do, because I wouldn’t want him to waste time trying to make sure I could be there, too.

I tried to call my MIL, but I know she’s probably at the hospital anyway, and her phone is off.  My sis in law isn’t online, and she isn’t answering her phone either.

I hope I hear from Hubby soon because I’m seriously worried now.
