Welcome To The World Aislyn!

I went to sleep early last night, I mean like 7:30pm, because the storms were rolling through pretty heavy.  Luckily all the severe stuff went mostly south of us, and sleeping through it kept me from freaking out.

I woke up at 2am and barely had time to let my eyes adjust to being awake before I received a text message.  Baby Aislyn made it to the world right around midnight!  I’m not exactly sure what time yet or many details, but I got a picture as soon as mom Tasha got settled in her room with baby.

 

Isn’t she beautiful?  Look at that smile!

New mommy Tasha isn’t really family, but we consider her family, so this little smiling bundle is new family, too.  She’s my sister in law’s new niece, and we’ve been on alert since Thursday that she could show up at anytime.

As for the name Aislyn it’s a Gaelic derivative meaning “dreamer” or “visionary”.  It’s pronounced like Ashlynn, and I think it’s a beautiful name!
