I just called my mom to let her know I won’t be going shopping today. It’s not because all this nasty weather has moved in. It’s because I’ve been laying in bed for the past 4 hours listening to that nasty weather. I’ve tried everything within my power to get some sleep, but my insomnia has kicked in once again.
I definitely don’t want to spend all day traipsing around the mall while she tells me what she thinks I should be wearing “at my age”. I’ll save that for another day when I don’t feel like shit.
I am however about to drag Hubby out of bed. *evil grin* I’m hungry, and a trip to Hardees for breakfast would really hit the spot right now. Heck I started getting hunger pains about the time I tried to go to sleep. Hubby woke up around 4:30 due to all the weather. It got pretty nasty out…so bad that our power went out for about an hour. I asked him then if he wanted to go get breakfast this morning, and he told me to wake him up. So, I better not hear him complaining when I drag him out of bed!
I’m off to throw my freshly showered hair in a pony tail, throw on my Clemson jogging pants, and a tank top, and I’m out the door. Maybe getting some food in my stomach will make me feel like taking a nap when we get home.
While I’m shopping tomorrow I need to make sure I don’t forget to stop into one of the electronics stores in the mall. Hubby and I have been discussing the fact that we’d like to put our smaller tv on a tv wall mount.
Why? There are quite a few reasons actually.
The den area is a very small room. It’s so small our couch practically takes up the whole room. I’ve somehow managed to cram a love seat in there, too, but depending on which bedroom you need to walk into, you have to nudge the love seat out of the way. Most of the time it stays slid up against the guest room door. We’ve got an entertainment center in the corner of the room, and then we’ve got one wall that’s totally useless furniture-wise because the entire wall is taken up by french doors. To even get out the french door you have to slide the entertainment center out and away from the wall by about 2 ft so you can open the door. Oh, and there’s even a coffee table crammed in there, too! See, I said the room’s small!
If we could put the tv on a wall mount, we could eliminate the need for the entertainment center. Yeah we’d still need something to house the dvd player, vcr (yes we still use it), and Playstation 2. We’ve also got a good stack of movies and video games that need a spot, too, so Hubby said he would build shelfs below the tv wall mount. Sounds good doesn’t it?
The second reason I want the wall mount is because I have a Yoga dvd. I try to keep up with the Yoga doing my routine in my office, but it’s not relaxing doing Yoga in the one place I work. If I get rid of the coffee table and the entertainment center, I’ll still have my tv and dvd player, and I’ll have the extra room I need to do my Yoga in my living room!
I was sitting here playing around in Paint Shop Pro trying to clear my head, and I heard the bottom drop. It’s been raining steadily for the past couple of hours now. As much as we really need the rain, and I’m thankful for every drop we get, I just really don’t want it to rain all day tomorrow. Looks like that’s exactly what it’s going to do though.
It’s almost 3am already, but I have to be up by 9 to go shopping with my mom. She promised to buy me lots of girly things I’m needing if I’ll go with her. She hates going all the way to Greenville by herself. I know…a few days ago I talked about how much I hate going to the mall. Guess what…that hasn’t changed! I still hate going to the mall, but if Mama’s buying I’ma goin’!
Then I wanted to come back home and check out a new boutique in town. We don’t have many stores in our little town, so when something new and interesting opens I’m definitely checking it out. This new little store on main street (I can’t even remember what SIL said it’s named) is supposed to be like a ton of clothes that are handmade from all natural materials.
Hmm…I wonder if they carry any vegan shoes? I know they’re supposed to specialize in clothing made out of hemp and stuff like that, so it’s definitely a store I’d be interested to shop in.
I just don’t want to be subjected to all this shopping in the pouring rain. Shopping is bad enough on it’s own!
