Why I Don’t Want To Cook

Hubby has been begging me for a week now to make a roast. It’s been awhile since I made one, and there’s a good reason for that. The crock pot heats up the kitchen like mad. There have been days I’ve used it in the winter and didn’t build a fire in the wood stove during the day because the crock pot threw off enough heat to keep the kitchen/dining room warm.

I promised him I’d make a roast for tomorrow, but now I know I’m going to be sweating my non-existent balls if I do. It’s already hot enough in this house, and I purposely haven’t done much cooking this week because I didn’t want to heat the house up anymore.

I’ve tried my best to cut out those things that produce extra heat. The dishwasher is still set for the hottest water setting, but I’ve got it set on air dry. I had to wash a load of towels tonight, and that’s the first time I’ve used the dryer all week. I made spaghetti tonight, but the nights we haven’t eaten out lately I’ve made “cold foods”. I don’t think I’ve used the oven at all this month, and I take the George Foreman outside when I’m grilling something.

If I didn’t do all that this house would be so hot I wouldn’t have to worry about using Orovo detox or diet pills to lose weight. I can just sweat it off! Hmm….maybe I shouldn’t be trying to keep the house cool after all! LOL! No, that’s not an option because I like how low my power bill is when I do all this as well!
