Everyday Randomness

Hubby and I have changed our mind on our anniversary trip so many times now.  We were originally going to Disney World, then we decided that wasn’t the nice quiet romantic trip we were looking for.  Then he decided we should go to the mountains because he’s wanted to go to Dollywood so bad.

Yeah I love going to Dollywood, but a theme park isn’t my idea of a romantic get away.  We did luck up on a great ticket package though, so we went ahead and purchased it thinking we’d either use it for our anniversary or go at another time.  The great thing about the ticket package is we don’t have a set weekend we have to use them.  We just have to use them before the end of the year.

Because of that we’ve changed our minds on our anniversary destination yet again.  We’re going to save the Dollywood tickets until the end of November.  That way we can go up during Winterfest, and I can enjoy the lights as well as the theme park.

For our anniversary we decided to head to Edisto Island, a nice quiet beach my family used to go to every year.  I love it down there.  It’ll be a nice quiet romantic getaway where we get a beach house to ourselves for 4 days.  There’s no set schedule of events we have to stick to, and it’ll be more like a honeymoon.  After all we never went on a honeymoon.  We decided we’d wait until later in our marriage when we really needed time away, and I think now is exactly when we need it.

I’m calling the rental office today and booking the trip, so he better not change his mind again.  If he does, he’s stuck.  I’m not losing cash because he can’t make up his mind.  Heck if I have to I’ll go to Edisto and enjoy a nice relaxing 4 days away without him LOL!
