Everyday Randomness

Since I’ve been up since the crack of dawn this morning I started doing laundry early. I might as well seeing as how I’ve put off laundry most of the week. I had clothes hanging on the line as soon as there was enough sun out to dry them.

I just headed out to hang another load, and that’s when I decided I think I’ll just use my dryer. I was about 15 feet from my porch with my clothes basket tucked under my arm when I spotted something out of the corner of my eye. I turned my head and looked right at a bear standing about 50 feet on the other side of my clothesline at the edge of the garden. No thanks, I don’t want to mess with that.

It spotted me, too, so I slowly started backing up towards the porch. I expected it to move, do something, at least run one direction or the other, but it didn’t move. As I got to the top of the porch steps it turned and walked off into the woods.

I walked back into the house, loaded the dryer and decided my other clothes can hang on the line until Hubby gets home from work.
