That Was Easy

Well that vet trip was much easier than I thought it would be.  The clinic was completely dead when we got there, so we were able to walk in and out in 5 minutes.  The stitches are out, and the vet says Alley’s neck is healing up nicely.  He’s on his antibiotics for another week, and then he’ll be good to go.

The only problem we had was, as usual, when we put him in the cat carrier he got sick.  He’s perfectly fine riding in the car any other time, but being enclosed in that small box makes him puke every time.  He’s good in the car, looks out the back window then lays down in the back seat, so I think from now on I’m going to let him be in the car, and I’ll stick him in the cat carrier just to carry him inside the office.  I wouldn’t even put him in it for that, but I get worried about dogs who might be in the waiting area who aren’t cat friendly.  I’ve seen them lunge at cats in carriers, and there’s no telling what might happen if I just carried him in my arms.

Clemson isn’t playing today, so now I don’t have to worry about rushing out to get ready for a game.  I’m going to settle in to get some more work done this morning, and Connie, I’m starting with your stuff!  Be proud of me, I’m getting it done!
