Filled Under: Health

That’s exactly what this crap I’m dealing with feels like. When I woke up yesterday morning I told you about battling a sore throat yet again. I drank my tea to soothe it and thought all would be well.

I did manage to make my sore throat go away, but I couldn’t stop sneezing. Within a couple hours I was achy all over with an earache in both ears, a fever, and cold chills. I wrapped up in bed under 4 blankets and stayed there all day. No matter what I did I couldn’t get warm.

With nightfall came the hot flashes. Hubby and I fought over the blankets for hours. I’d throw them off, and he’d pile them on. I was hot and restless, and I just didn’t want to be stuck in bed anymore. I got out of bed and sat in one of the coldest rooms in the house that gets no heat for a good 2 hours reading and burning up. Surprisingly I didn’t start running a fever again until just a couple hours ago, and the fever has stayed low overall.  It went away yesterday afternoon, so I thought I’d succeeded with sweating it out.

Right now I’m in one of my “feel good” moments when I have a little energy and feel like trying to get some soup down, but I don’t know how long that’s going to last. Those moments tend to come and go, so I’ll fix myself some soup then stay wrapped up in my chair with a pillow and my headphones watching movies on my pc until I fall asleep again.
