Wow I can’t believe I’ve been away from the pc for so long, but it was well worth it. We had an awesome trip to DC, and it was great getting to see the family. This is the first time Hubby’s Mom’s entire family has been able to get together in quite a few years.
The memorial service at Arlington was beautiful, and now we can happily say Hubby’s Grandma has been reunited with his Grandpa. That’s one thing she’s longed for. I took lots of photos in Arlington as well as around DC, and I’ll share those as soon as I get a chance.
We left DC on Saturday, and we drove straight to Pigeon Forge. Hubby had never been there before, so we decided to end our trip with a day of go carts, shopping, and plain old fun. Of course the 7 hour car ride wasn’t fun, but I was able to catch a couple hours sleep. My body was totally exhausted after walking around DC all day Friday.
After grabbing a wicked sunburn Saturday while I watched the family enjoy the go carts that I couldn’t ride, we finally headed home last night. Now I’m just so thankful to be home, and I really wish I could spend all day in bed. Unfortunately I can’t because I’m about to walk out the door for my second prenatal exam.
Attention Tuesday…I plan to waste you. The unpacking can wait, but I need a day of rest to recover from the vacation!
