I was sick from those darn things too. My doctor kept trying new ones until I was able to keep them down. I think you're fine with all you're doing. Listen to your doctor, she knows best!

I've tried taking them morning, noon, night, splitting it and taking 1 in the morning/1 at night. It doesn't matter when I take them or how much food I eat or don't eat with them, they come back up within 15-30 minutes. I tried to take them right before bed thinking I'd lay down and be fine, but nope. I'm right back up out of bed hurling them. :-(

I talked to my doctor yesterday, and she told me to keep taking the Flintstones for now. She's going to prescribe another brand of prenatals when I go in for my checkup tomorrow, but she said some women just can't take any type of prenatals and have to stick to regular vitamins. I'm supposed to take a double dose of Flintstones for now, and if I can't keep the others down we'll stick with the Flintstones and possibly supplement as needed with others. She agreed if I can't keep them in my system long enough for them to break down it isn't doing me any good anyway, so we've got to find something I can keep down at all.

Don't quit taking your prenatals. you CANNOT have enough vitamins and minerals right now. Just eating healthy doesn't cut it...growing a baby needs more than just food can provide...and if its being provided the baby will take it out of you. Even though you might feel fine now, it will make all the difference in your recovery after the baby is born if you keep up on your vitamins.

Try taking your prenatals at night instead of in the morning. I had to do that with both of my pregnancies.

I've been trying to make sure I'm eating as healthy as I possibly can right now so I am getting the nutrients I need. Luckily my morning sickness wasn't that severe, and I've hardly had any during the 2nd trimester. Actually now that I think about it the only time I seem to really get sick is when I take the vitamins, but I tried my best. I picked up some Flintstones today knowing those will help me if I can't keep the others down. Hopefully my doc will have maybe another kind for me to try or something helpful to say on Wednesday.
