I just got off the phone with Hubby.  He called home specifically to ask me what we’re having for dinner tonight.  He knows I have a hard enough time making decisions right now, especially those that involve food, so I normally wait until he’s home from work to decide what I’m cooking.

Today he’s made that decision easy for me.  He mentioned french bread pizza 4 different times in a 5 minute phone call, so it looks like we’re having french bread pizza.  I’m glad I decided to pick up more cheese when I hit up the grocery store last night.

I’m also thankful he’s not asking for something greasy and fried or full of sodium.  There are plenty of ways for me to make healthy pizzas, and we’re definitely going to have to start working on a healthier menu.

We’ve joked plenty of times about Hubby needing to pick up some diet pills before he lets  his weight get out of control, but last night we discussed how much weight he really has gained during my pregnancy and how he’s going to have to start doing something about it before he ends up with some serious health issues.

He started gaining weight when our BFF’s gf was pregnant because she was constantly calling on Hubby to be her “eating partner” knowing my Hubby does not turn down food.  Then came the increase in my appetite which gave him yet another excuse to eat coupled with the fact that he got laid off.  Being stuck at home for 3 months gave him plenty of excuses to sit on the couch eating and playing video games all day.

Normally he would give me an excuse like “now that I’m back to work I’ll be more active”, but this time he openly admitted he’s starting to worry about his own health.  Knowing he has a baby girl who will join us in about 8 weeks is making him look at things differently, and he’s ready to start taking the steps to get himself healthy before it’s too late.
