How is your day going?  It’s barely lunchtime, and here’s a run down of how mine’s gone so far.

• Woke up to Ellie in bed with me smacking me in the face telling me it’s time to get up.
• Put on Handy Manny, and attempted to feed Ellie breakfast.  She threw a tantrum and dumped it all in the floor.
• Tried to lighten the mood by calling my Dad to wish him Happy Birthday.  I asked Ellie if she could say hello to her Papa. She grabbed the phone and threw it across the room.  Luckily she can’t do much more damage as she’s already busted the front screen.
• Answered a phone call from a friend who was standing in a store looking at hp printers, and wanted to know which one was the best to get. Meanwhile Ellie was playing in the floor, she attacked the cat (jumped on him and barrel rolled him), and he scratched her on the lip in return.
• Spent the last 2 hours battling massive temper tantrums that come out of nowhere every few minutes.  Ellie keeps getting mad at everything in sight for no reason.  Decided grumpy child really needs a nap, and of course that became another battle.  Gave up and tried to feed her lunch.  Lunch followed breakfast’s footsteps and ended up in the floor, too.
• Put Ellie in the pack ‘n play to nap, and now I’m listening to her babble to her dolls through the monitor.  She may not be sleeping, but at least we’re both getting some much needed down time.
