I better stock up on effective acne products because my stress level is about to go through the roof. It’s not like my face doesn’t already look like a pizza with extra toppings, but I guess it’s going to have to get a little worse.

time is here, and I always majorly stress out over taxes. That’s because usually Ben and I are both self employed. Normally he is part time self employed and a part time employee working through the same company, so we do have some income that has taxes withheld not related to the business side of things. Unfortunately that’s normally not enough to cover the taxes we’ll owe, and as hard as we try we have a very hard time coming up with the cash to make estimated quarterly payments.

This year I’m stressing even more because with Ben currently laid off we haven’t had a lot of that taxed income that we normally have. Of course he doesn’t have business income for part of the year either because of it, but we have his unemployment to worry about.

I’ve spent the last couple of hours going over all of my own business stuff, printing out receipts and spreadsheets of my income, calculating my deductions, and just getting things ready to get our taxes done. Of course we still have to wait on the w-2 and 1099 forms to arrive in the mail, but I want to be ready to see our accountant as soon as we have them all in hand. If we have to pay in a large amount I want to make sure we’ve got plenty of time to get things together without having to worry about setting up a payment schedule or asking for an extension.
