Happy Holidays! I hope everyone has had an enjoyable holiday no matter what you may celebrate. We had a great Christmas, and I’m sad to see it end. Our Christmas was extended through this weekend with my Mom being sick and scheduling her family get together after she was better. Even though we got to celebrate a bit longer I’m still sad to see it all come to an end. I feel like Christmas flew by this year and we didn’t really get to stop and enjoy it.
Now we’re moving on to New Year’s Eve. The evening will be extra special this year because my little cousin who is like a sister to me is getting married tomorrow evening. Unfortunately I’m sick again (yes, again), so I’m not sure if I’ll get to attend her wedding. If nothing else I’ll at least ring in the new year with Ben and Ellie. I plan to let Ellie stay awake a little later this year to celebrate with us, and I’ve got the party hats, sparkling grape juice, and noisemakers ready to go. I even found some plastic half rim eyeglasses with 2013 on the sides for Ellie to wear although I doubt I’ll get her to put them on.
I can’t believe this time next year we’ll be celebrating with 2 little ones. Heck I can’t believe it’s going to be 2013 already. Where has the time gone? My mama always told me time flew by once you started a family, but I didn’t realize how fast things truly seem to go.
Anywho, I doubt I’ll be around again until after New Year’s Day, so let me once again wish everyone a Happy New Year!
