Get Childish Glow in the Dark Star Stickers Review

I received this product for free or in exchange for my honest review. All opinions are my own.

I have an affection for all things celestial, and my 6 year old seems to be following in her mother’s footsteps. She always begs to stay up late to watch meteor showers, and she even asked Santa for a telescope for Christmas this year! She is obsessed with those glow in the dark star stickers that you use to decorate the ceiling and walls.¬†

We’ve tried many different types of glow in the dark star stickers, and the Glow in the Dark Star Stickers from Get Childish are by far the best we’ve tried.

This set by Get Childish is huge! Included are 50 large stars, 35 small stars, 5 moons, 5 rocket ships, and 5 planets. The set is definitely large enough to cover a full wall or ceiling. My daughter wanted small clusters of stars around her room, and one set was enough to add a mini solar system to every wall. I would recommend multiple sets if you are wanting to decorate multiple walls or the entire room walls and ceiling.

There is a smell of plastic when you first open the package, but it dissipates rather quickly. We removed the bag of stars from the shipping package and let them air out on the dresser for a couple hours before attempting to use them. The smell was never really bothersome, and it was gone quickly. The stars are all covered in a plastic film to prevent scratching much like the plastic found on the front of electronic devices. Each star much be individually peeled before placing on the wall if you want your stars to appear shiny. My 6 year old turned it into a game of seeing how fast she could remove the plastic while I stuck the stars to the wall, so it wasn’t too time consuming to remove it.

My child has paneled walls in her bedroom, so I wasn’t sure how these stars would work. We’ve had issues with other brands of glow in the dark stars not sticking well to paneled walls, but these are working great. The glue holds really well, and was even resistant to my 2 year old attempting to pull the stars off the wall. With that said, they are still easy for an adult to remove, and they will stick well to the wall again. We had to adjust a few, and we had no problem doing so.

After a few hours of charge the stars glowed really bright. The glow lasts for hours, too. Overall I would recommend these stars to anyone looking for a good cheap set of glow in the dark stars. I love the variety included in the packaging and how well they work.
