911 Call For Math Help

If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed. Thanks for visiting!

When parent’s teach their kids what to do in an emergency situation kids learn to dial 9-1-1! When it comes to a small child who might not understand exactly what an “emergency” is, mom’s teach them to dial 911 when they need help right?

Apparently this 4 year old little boy thought he should call 911 when he needed help…with math!

It’s absolutely adorable!

He made it on Jay Leno!

Stoopid Bubblez!

I’ve been trying to get to my blogs, I really have, but I’m stuck on this little game over at Reflexive Arcade called Bubblez!  I think finding that game is the worse thing I could have ever done because I’m seriously addicted.

I got stuck on level 19, so of course I had to spend a couple hours trying to beat it.  Once that was accomplished I couldn’t stop there could I?  Nope, I had to see how many levels are in the online version.  Now 4 hours later I sit here on level 25 wondering when the madness will end!

Natural Beauty

I got a few more shots of flowers yesterday, but when I finally got them uploaded to my computer a few minutes ago I realized all the shots came out really horrible. One looks pretty cool just because the suns rays are shining down on top of the azalea bush, but it ruins the actual shot of the flowers. I’ll try to take some more pictures tomorrow.

For now I’m admiring the beauty that is the Shangri La Gardens and Nature Center in Orange, Texas. I’ve never been to Texas, but if Hubby and I ever get a chance to visit his uncle who lives near there, I’d definitely like to stop by Shangri La Gardens. We have the Clemson Botanical Gardens here, but it’s no where near as beautiful as the photos I’m seeing from Shangri La Gardens.

You can see some of the beauty of this 252 acre botanical gardens in their photo album. I only wish I could live somewhere that looked at beautiful. What I really like is the fact that Shangri La Gardens has the U.S. Green Building Council’s platinum certification for LEED®-NC. They’re run a very eco friendly setting that is not only beautiful, but has a purpose.

The gardens contain over 300 species of plant life, but there’s more. Visitors can observe birds or participate in educational programs about plants and wildlife. I love stuff like that, and I only wish the botanical gardens here could be as great.

I really hope we do have the opportunity to visit Hubby’s uncle sometime in the future. I would love to take a trip to Texas, and I would definitely love to see these gardens in person. Photos never do a place like this full justice. If you’re live in Texas or plan to visit Orange, Texas consider stopping by the Shangri La Gardens and Nature Center.

Don’t Shoot!

There has been a video marathon going on all night in my house. Hubby decided to have a Hitman video game party with a couple of his friends, so it’s been going on all night. One guy is setup in the living room, one’s in the guest room, and Hubby’s setup in my office. I don’t mind them having these marathons since they only happen once every couple months, but that means my office is pretty much unaccessible.

I mean I can get in there and do stuff, but I’m too easily distracted by what’s going on in the game. Luckily Hubby only has two levels left, and that’ll be the end of the last game, Hitman Blood Money. As much as I’m glad he’s having run, it does drive me a teeny bit crazy not having my office all to myself.

I got in here long enough to write a post or two, pay bills, and check out a couple air purifiers. My mom wants one, so I think that’s what I’m going to get her for Mother’s Day.  I guess I’ll be back when the party is over!

No Movie Tonight…Bummer

It looks like I’ll have to postpone my movie plans until tomorrow. I’d prefer to go to the 4:20 show anyway. That way we can watch the movie and eat at Cracker Barrel before we head home. Plus, it’s over $2 cheaper per ticket.

I mean I really did want to go see Stop Loss tonight, but hubby got held up at work. He still isn’t home yet, and the movie starts in about 30 minutes. It takes 45 just to get to the theater. The next showing starts at 10:25, and I know doesn’t want to go that late. He’d fall asleep in the movie theater.

It’s just as well. I finally did get some sleep, but I still don’t feel like getting dressed to go out. I’m just kind of blah right now. Hopefully if I jump in the shower hubby will be home by the time I’m out. I’m starving, so the sooner he gets home the better.

Then again I could procrastinate like usual. Maybe I’ll sit here until he gets home looking at some really pretty luxury watches that I know I can’t afford.
