A Late Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas everyone (even if it is a little late). I just didn’t have time to stop by my blogs yesterday as we had so many dinners to attend. Bubba and Alley did find time to stop by their blog to share a couple photos and blog about their Christmas. We’ll be uploading more photos as soon as I have time to edit them. We’ve eaten so much over the last few days that I”m sick of “holiday food”.

We had a late lunch with my Dad today, but we all decided to hit up a local diner for their famous Flounder instead of eating more Turkey or Ham. Then we went back to his house to exchange presents. Now we have one more Christmas dinner with my Mom tomorrow, and we’ll finally be done with Christmas.

My Dad and his girlfriend gave us the cutest little Christmas card. They’ve got a Miniature Schnauzer, Mr. Mustache aka Stash, and he’s the cutest thing ever. He’s still a puppy, and this is the first time I’ve ever seen my Dad get excited over a dog. He’s always told me I was crazy for putting my pets on Christmas cards, dressing them up in Christmas outfits, etc, but this year he gave us a Christmas card with a photo of my future step-brother, Matthew, and Stash.

Matthew & Stash

I think next year I’ll do Bubba and Alley’s Christmas cards like this. I found a bunch of little frame cards at the Dollar Tree this morning, so I’m going to go back and stock up while everything is 50% off. I did do a little shopping. I picked up new Christmas stockings for all of us for $3. Bubba and Alley’s have cute paw prints on them, and Hubby and I got red ones with embroidered ornaments. They’re super cute and 4 of them for $3 is a steal!

Now we’re off to GameStop to pick up a new game for Hubby. Then I want to chill out the rest of the evening being lazy.

My god it’s cold in this house.  We left for a few hours, and since I don’t exactly feel safe leaving the wood stove burning while we’re not home it got seriously cold in here.  We just built up a fire, but the thermometer in the kitchen window currently says 28.  I’m wrapped up in a blanket with Alley in my lap, and I’m hoping it warms up really soon.

With it being this cold Alley is a freakin’ static magnet tonight.  Every time he moves I get shocked with a little tingle.  Dang it cat, stay still!

I think I’m going to go make me some hot chocolate, check on the fire, and then sit down to make a button for my friend Connie.  When I’m done maybe I’ll head back towards my blogs.

Good evening everyone. I admit it I’ve been in bed all day. I’ve been feeling like I was getting sick all weekend, but today it really got me down. I went to bed around 3am last night after puking for a good hour or so, and I finally drug myself out of bed around 7pm today. I feel like absolute donkey dung.

To make matters worse I got up just in time for my sis in law to tell me her beloved kitteh baby, Riley, is missing. Apparently someone didn’t make sure the door was pulled all the way shut today, and she found her way outside. They’ve been looking for her since 3pm with no luck.

My sis in law’s birthday is tomorrow, and all she wants is for her Riley baby to find her way back home. Riley’s a rescue she took in a few months ago, and she’s only about 6 months old. She’s a small little thing, and we’re all worried about her. We’re just glad tonight isn’t going to be as cold as it has been lately.

Now, I’ve got a ton of work I have to get done. Well, I’m going to attempt to get the work done. All I really want to do is drink a nice hot cup of tea and go back to bed!

*Edit* Riley has returned!  Sometimes all it takes is a kitteh getting hungry, and then she comes home!
