Kids Academy Releases Preschool Education Center
for iOS and Android!

I absolutely love having apps on my phone that will keep my children entertained, are fun, and have an educational value as well. That’s why I’ve been a fan of the educational learning apps from Kids Academy since I first discovered them. Recently Kids Academy did an app update, and my kids tested the new version of the app.

Kids Academy – the team behind some of the top educational apps for kids with over 10 million downloads worldwide just released the long-awaited version of their flagship app – Preschool Education Center.
As the name suggests, Preschool Education Center is an all-in-one educational app for kids and toddlers. The app covers all aspects of early childhood education from the alphabet and reading to writing, building vocabulary and developing math skills. Based on the proven Montessori method the app offers a number of fun games that help master essential learning skills through play.

Both of my kids love this app. There are different activities that work well with each age. The app runs on my Galaxy S3 with no issues. My 5 year old uses the app to practice tracing letters she still has trouble with, and she really enjoys the worksheets we print. There are so many activities that she will play the Kids Academy app until the battery on my phone dies if I let her!

It’s a great educational but fun app to have on hand when waiting in the doctor’s office, and my 2 yr old uses the app to stay entertained while waiting in the school pickup line for her sister.

Until now, Preschool Education Center has only been available on iTunes but today’s release makes it finally available for Android device on Google Play! This fun and free app is currently being featured in the Family section of the Android store in the USA, Australia and Canada.

Show off Your Unique Baby in Store Brand Formula’s “Unique Baby” Sweepstakes #sponsored

Everyday Randomness $30_visa_card_giveaway
I was compensated in exchange for providing this information to my readers.

What makes your baby unique? As babies both of my girls had some super unique facial expressions that could melt your heart or make you feel like you were going to burst with laughter. As unique as my girls are they both had the same “don’t mess with me” face when they were babies that included a balled up fist “I’m gonna sock ya one” pose.

Ellie is saying “don’t mess with my rattle!”
Aubrey says “Really? You put me in Cabbage Patch hair!?”

They were also completely unique when it came to feeding.

My youngest wanted nothing to do with a bottle and was nursed exclusively. I’m thankful I was able to nurse both of my babies, but my experience with my oldest daughter was so much different. My oldest was born at 35 weeks because I had severe Preeclampsia. We had plenty of nights full of tears and frustration because she didn’t want to nurse, and due to some other issues I had to supplement with formula.

When I had to choose a formula for my daughter I wanted to make sure she was getting all the nutrients she needed at a price I could afford. Let’s face it. Formula is expensive. One of the most helpful pieces of advice I ever received from my other mom friends was to go with Store Brand Formula. I switched to Walmart’s Parent’s Choice formula for our needs saving us a lot of money.

The truth is Store Brand Formula is strictly regulated by the FDA to keep babies safe just like the more expensive name brands.

Store brand infant formulas, like Walmart’s Parent’s Choice and Target’s Up and Up, are nutritionally comparable to national brands like Enfamil® and Similac® and meet FDA standards, at a much lower cost to your family.

That means those pricey name Brand formulas aren’t unique unless you want to factor in the added cost! But, your baby is unique and it’s time to celebrate your little one’s uniqueness with the Unique Baby Sweepstakes.

Store Brand Formula wants to shine the spotlight on the more important part of the formula equation: your baby through the “Unique Baby” Photo Sweepstakes! Enter your baby’s photo for a chance to win $5,000 AND a year supply of Store Brand Formula.

Unite Against Bullying During National Bullying Prevention Month

This is a sponsored post on behalf of CustomInk. Affiliate links are included.

Did you know October is National Bullying Prevention Month? According to PACER’s National Bullying Prevention Center:

  • 1 in 4 students in the U.S. reported being bullied in 2015.
  • Reasons for being bullied reported most often were: race (16%), body shape (37%), and looks (55%).
  • 19.6% of high school students in the US report being bullied at school in the past year, and 14.8% reported being bullied online.
  • 64 percent of children who were bullied did not report it.

If a single person in this world is being bullied the numbers are still too high, and we need to unite against bullying to stop the bullying before it happens.

CustomInk is working to prevent bullying with the announcement of their 5th annual ‘Be Good to Each Other’ campaign. CustomInk has donated nearly $120,000 towards bullying prevention efforts and sold tens of thousands of shirts for the cause over the past 5 years. Now through October 31st, CustomInk will donate 100% of the profits from the sales of bullying prevention t-shirts to PACER. That’s approximately $8 per shirt going to support bullying prevention!

Want to join the fight and unite against bullying?

You can get involved, too, by joining the ‘Be Good to Each Other’ campaign. There are 3 easy ways to participate.

  1. Design your own bullying prevention shirts for your school or group.
  2. Order PACER’s official 2015 Unity Day shirt that you can wear to show your support!
  3. Take a stand with celebrity bullying prevention supporters.
