I Need To Scream
If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed. Thanks for visiting!
If I were a junky, you’d probably be looking for addiction treatment right now. I’m so stressed out I’d probably be taking or smoking everything I could get my hands on. Hell I’ve already smoked almost a half a pack of cigs, and I’ve only been awake for 3 hours. I hate dealerships. I hate dealing with them, and I hate how crooked they are. I’m tired of them trying to screw me just because I’m a woman! Hell I can haggle with them better than Hubby can.
Ugh.
I think I’m going to go outside to scream.
Mama Drama
*Sigh*
Man what a day this has been already, and it’s only 9:45am. I stayed up late last night helping Lisa. She finally got her new computer put together yay! When she went to bed at 3am I tried to as well. I was dead tired, but once I hit the mattress my eyes decided to pop open. I laid there watching TV until 5 thinking it’d be ok because I’d have plenty of time to sleep in this morning.
*Wrong!*
My mom started blowing my phone up at 6am. I was so not even semi conscious then. I never heard the phone ring once, but Hubby got up at 8 to go get breakfast and run his errands. He heard my phone going off every couple minutes and thought my alarm was set. Nope. It was my mom and sister both calling over and over again.
My mom has this dead tree in her front yard. It was sitting just a few feet away from the front porch, so she finally decided it was time to get rid of it. Hubby has offered to cut it I don’t know how many times, but she’s always refused. Well my Grandpa let a logging company harvest some of the trees off a small portion of his land, so they offered to cut the tree for her yesterday. She let them do it, and I’m just happy the tree is gone. It’s dangerous to have it sitting there dead that close to the house.
So she called me last night to tell me about it, but she failed to mention that the logging guys cut it and left it laying in the middle of her yard because it was too small for their needs. Sheesh. So she’s been blowing my phone up all morning wanting Hubby to chop it up and get it out of her yard “before the rain hits”.
That’s her excuse for “come get this ugly thing out of my front yard”, but of course she didn’t feel the need to ask him if he could do it this morning. She’s just been blowing my phone up with messages saying do it. Sorry mom but he’s already got a million things he’s got to do today. Having my sister call to bitch even more isn’t going to get him over there.
Of course I agree with Hubby. He’s like “you know I’d do it for her no problem, but she could at least be nice about it and ask me if I have time to do it this morning. Don’t demand that I do it right now.”
If this was any other Saturday morning he’d be at work right now, but no. He decided not to work today because he has a ton of other stuff he has to take care of this morning.
Somehow though this got him all worked up, and we ended up getting into a fight. I think it was more or less because I wasn’t getting out of bed to answer the phone, so he answered it, and he got bitched at. I’ve had a total of 4 hours sleep. I was dead to the world! He didn’t exactly have to answer the phone you know!
*Sigh*
I seriously need a vacation.
*Pulls out brochures for Hilton Head rentals*
The beach would be seriously nice right now!
Make It Work Please!
Oh boy I’m having serious internet problems again. I’m connected, I can get online, but my signal strength keeps dropping or something. I’ll be running at close to 4megs then all of a sudden I’ll drop to less than a full meg. Everything will stop loading, and no matter what I do I can’t get my connection to work. Charter will be out here yet again tomorrow.
How many times have I said I’m ready to switch to dsl? Hubby just won’t agree! I’m so close to doing it anyway without telling him!
Good God He’s Pathetic
Today has been a very eventful day, so eventful that I almost completely forgot to make my 1 daily post for Blog365. Hey I’ve still got that 1 day saved up since I didn’t take Feb 29th off, but anyway, here I am.
Remember Hubby’s friend who lived with us/got kicked out/begged to move back in? Well I hope he’s ready to get a life insurance quote because I went ape shit on him today. I was about ready to kill him. Last night Hubby informed me that this guy just doesn’t get it.
He’s found himself head over heels again with his financial situation (his own fault), and yet again he asked Hubby if he could stay with us again for awhile. It’s like dude, I’ve kicked you out once. The second time you asked I told you no. How dare you think asking me again will change my answer? I can’t stand you, and you’re not living here! Grow the fuck up already, be a man, and learn to take care of yourself!
I spent about 30 minutes standing in my driveway screaming at it, and the dude still doesn’t get it. He gave me a billion excuses why he’s down on his luck and in this situation, but the bottom line is he’s there because he’s a fuck head who mooches off other people and makes excuses when things don’t go his way. He constantly whines and bitches about the situations he’s put himself in, and none of us want to hear it anymore. He’s been “saving for a car” for 6 years now, and none of us have seen any results.
Dude, you’re a 27 year old grown man. GROW THE FUCK UP!
*~~~~~*
And on another note, this day really has been eventful. After having this “talk” with Hubby’s friend we headed to town for dinner. On the way to dinner Hubby told me he went through a road check coming down the mountain from work. I found it strange because it was in a place you never see road checks…up on a small road in the middle of nowhere, but it’s a shortcut into NC.
As we were eating dinner a friend called to see if we wanted to stop by his house. On our way to his house we ran into another road check. It was on the on ramp from town to Hwy 11. Closer to our friend’s house we ran into yet another road check on Hwy 11.
Hmm…road checks on two of the roads leading out of state. 11 ends on Interstate 85. That had me wondering what was up. On our way home we ran into yet another road check just a couple miles from our house.
Just a couple hours ago my sister called to say she went through 2 road checks near her house, which is out on the other major hwy that leads to I85. Just a few minutes ago a friend of ours said he was on his way over here, but he might be slow getting here because he’d just went through a road check in downtown Seneca.
As soon as I got off the phone with him I called my cop friend. Sure enough he confirmed my suspicions. This is a big area for drug trafficking because GA, SC, and NC are all so close together and connected by a couple major roads. In “honor” of 4/20 being Sunday, there’s a major drug crackdown going on right now, and the road checks are part of that. I wonder how many more I’ll have to go through this weekend.
Shut Up Already!
Good god my aunt’s dog, Daisy, is driving me insane right now. I feel bad for her because she’s a really old dog. Seriously, I don’t even know how old she is because I can’t remember a time when she wasn’t around, and I’m friggin’ 26. We got one of her puppies when we were kids, and we had 2 more generations of dogs from that puppy. I swear she’s immortal.
Poor thing can’t really see or hear well anymore though, but she has her ways of figuring things out. I don’t know how many times I’ve told my aunt she needs to keep her in the fence because I see her laying in the middle of the road sunning. My aunt always reminds me Daisy always lays in the road, and she just knows to move because a car is headed her way.
That’s exactly how it works, too. She’ll lay out there all day, but if you see her head to the driveway you know a car is nearby. Sure enough within about 30 seconds a car will come by and Daisy will head back out to sun in the road. Maybe that’s the sixth sense I hear so much about, but honestly I think she can feel the vibrations or something.
Anywho, that’s not where I was going with this post. The more Daisy’s hearing and eye sight goes, the more she barks at night. It started out a couple years ago with her barking a couple hours each night after dark. Then it became an all night thing a couple nights a week. Here lately she’s barked constantly all night long waking me up every little bit (on the nights I actually sleep). Normally it doesn’t bother me as much because she stays on her pillow on my aunt’s porch, but the past couple of nights she’s parked herself on my front porch…right outside my office window.
Tonight it’s a nice night out, so when she started barking I opened the window. That calmed her down for a little while, but then she started up the barking again. It’s been nonstop for the past couple of hours. Even worse, being that close to the house, Bubba wants to know what’s going on, so he’s been barking and growling like crazy the past couple of hours, too.
I don’t see how Hubby’s sleeping through it, but then again Hubby can sleep through just about anything. I really wish I could do something for the poor girl though.
