Web Hosting Geeks Valuable Information
Have you ever had one of those days when you just hate your current web hosting? A friend and I were discussing that tonight, and she decided she’s finally fed up with the crappy service she receives from her current host. Her blogs always seem to be down, she sends tickets in to support but never receives an answer, and she’s just plain fed up with it.
Luckily for me my blogs are spread out over 2 different hosts, and I love my hosting services. Both of them are great. I hardly ever have any down times, support is always quick to get back to me if I have any problems, and I know if one of my hosts becomes a problem I can move the rest of my blogs to my 2nd host.
Because I’m not one of those people who runs to my friend screaming “pick my host!”, I gave her information about my host, and then I told her she needs to check out a few other hosts until she finds the one that is right for her. She needs to look at package options, features, support, stuff like that, and make her own decision.
I pointed her to Web Hosting Geeks for a possible way to find information on the host she may choose. Web Hosting Geeks gives you valuable information on the top 10 web hosts under $10 a month. They give you package details such as features and what bonus features you will receive. They also offer valuable reviews from others who have use the services, and they allow you to write your own review if you already use one of those top 10 services as your host.
If you’re looking for web hosting or looking to switch to another host check out Web Hosting Geeks. They might just have the information you’re looking for.
I Need Towels
When I had my wedding shower, I got enough towels, sheet sets, and kitchen towels to last me 10 years…or so I thought. Slowly over the past few months I realized all my kitchen towels seemed to be disappearing.
For almost 5 years I’ve had a drawer full of kitchen towels with tags still on them that I received in my shower but haven’t needed to use. I have another drawer full of the ones I’m using, and I normally slowly throw those away as they become too grungy or holey to use. Lately though I’ve watched my drawers slowly empty, and just today I realized I’m down to maybe 5 good kitchen towels.
I just bought a ton of wash clothes last week because I realized we’re down to maybe 3 left that are in decent shape. Most of them have been retired to the pile of rags we use for cleaning or mechanics.
Today I also realized our bath towels are headed down the same slippery slope. I washed every towel we own today, and when I finally had them all placed in the bathroom closet I realized we only have 6 decent towels left. None of them are what I’d consider “guest” quality, so if we have any visitors anytime soon I’ll have to run out and buy new towels anyway.
It looks like I’ve finally depleted most of my “shower gifts” collection. I’m honestly surprised everything has lasted me this long. At least I still have a ton of sheets that are still stacked up in their little plastic bags never opened. I’ve also still got all 3 of my irons…yes 3, and I’ve only used one of them maybe 3 or 4 times. I hate to iron! I guess I really should get rid of 2 of them!
You know I’ve never really had to buy any of these things though, so I didn’t realize how expensive regular bath towels can be. Even the cheap ones at the Dollar Store are $5 each! I walked in there this afternoon expecting to pick up maybe a set of 4 of them for $10. Boy, have I been wrong!
Stop Me Now!
This week I’ve wanted to do nothing but spend money. It sucks because I almost never want to spend money. Sure I’ll window shop online all the time, and I have a few things I regularly purchase online each month. That doesn’t explain what’s going on with me right now though. It’s like I can’t visit any kind of e-store without wanting to buy something!
Thankfully I’m just about flat broke. After buying some makeup and a couple new domain names I wiped out my fun money stash for this week. I thought I was going to get to buy some new clothes as well, but what extra cash I had got transferred to the “how the fOOk are we going to pay for gas fund”.
Maybe this heat is doing weird things to my brain, and that’s why I’ve wanted to do nothing but spend. It’s turning me into some weird girl who actually enjoys shopping for clothes and random garbage. *BARF* I even ran around in a couple stores today for more than an hour just looking! Yeah, it’s got to be the heat.
Thank god we’ve got storms moving in today that’s supposed to cool everything off. I need the old me back!
Rearranging The Den
While I’m shopping tomorrow I need to make sure I don’t forget to stop into one of the electronics stores in the mall. Hubby and I have been discussing the fact that we’d like to put our smaller tv on a tv wall mount.
Why? There are quite a few reasons actually.
The den area is a very small room. It’s so small our couch practically takes up the whole room. I’ve somehow managed to cram a love seat in there, too, but depending on which bedroom you need to walk into, you have to nudge the love seat out of the way. Most of the time it stays slid up against the guest room door. We’ve got an entertainment center in the corner of the room, and then we’ve got one wall that’s totally useless furniture-wise because the entire wall is taken up by french doors. To even get out the french door you have to slide the entertainment center out and away from the wall by about 2 ft so you can open the door. Oh, and there’s even a coffee table crammed in there, too! See, I said the room’s small!
If we could put the tv on a wall mount, we could eliminate the need for the entertainment center. Yeah we’d still need something to house the dvd player, vcr (yes we still use it), and Playstation 2. We’ve also got a good stack of movies and video games that need a spot, too, so Hubby said he would build shelfs below the tv wall mount. Sounds good doesn’t it?
The second reason I want the wall mount is because I have a Yoga dvd. I try to keep up with the Yoga doing my routine in my office, but it’s not relaxing doing Yoga in the one place I work. If I get rid of the coffee table and the entertainment center, I’ll still have my tv and dvd player, and I’ll have the extra room I need to do my Yoga in my living room!
