I’ve been contemplating giving Adobe Air a try, and now that I’ve installed it the Utterli app is the first one I decided to try. So far I’m lovin’ it! It might give me a reason to send utters from more places than just my phone.

It’s right after midnight, and I’ve finally got myself completely caught up. Today was pretty much a washout when it came to getting anything for myself done. I spent all day finishing up everything that’s been on my list to do for my clients. Luckily they all understood that I got behind.

Now that I’m caught up it’s time to do some work of my own. I really need to start packing away our summer clothes, giving away what doesn’t fit anymore, and getting stuff out of the house. Then I need to pull out our winter clothes, wash the ones that have that “storage smell”, and get those put into drawers and closets.

It’s also time to start winterizing the house. I’ve got to get the woodstove cleaned out, and Hubby needs to climb up on the roof so we can clean out the chimney. Then we’ve got to winterize all the windows and doors. Our front door has about a 1″ gap under it, and I need to buy another one of those door thingies. My brain isn’t working, so I can’t really think of what they’re called right now, but I do know I have to pick one up!

I’m going to get into the guest closet tonight where I store all our winter coats. I’ve been looking for one light weight jacket of mine, my favorite actually, and I can’t find it anywhere. It’s been cold enough to wear it a few nights this week, so I’m really hoping it’s in that closet. If not, it’s lost forever. *cries*

Well that vet trip was much easier than I thought it would be. The clinic was completely dead when we got there, so we were able to walk in and out in 5 minutes. The stitches are out, and the vet says Alley’s neck is healing up nicely. He’s on his antibiotics for another week, and then he’ll be good to go.

The only problem we had was, as usual, when we put him in the cat carrier he got sick. He’s perfectly fine riding in the car any other time, but being enclosed in that small box makes him puke every time. He’s good in the car, looks out the back window then lays down in the back seat, so I think from now on I’m going to let him be in the car, and I’ll stick him in the cat carrier just to carry him inside the office. I wouldn’t even put him in it for that, but I get worried about dogs who might be in the waiting area who aren’t cat friendly. I’ve seen them lunge at cats in carriers, and there’s no telling what might happen if I just carried him in my arms.

Clemson isn’t playing today, so now I don’t have to worry about rushing out to get ready for a game. I’m going to settle in to get some more work done this morning, and Connie, I’m starting with your stuff! Be proud of me, I’m getting it done!

Alley gets car sick in his car carrier, but let him run around the car and he’s fine. He gets up in the window watching traffic just like the dog.
