Hubby and I are both huge football fans, and last year we both participated in fantasy football. I was in a league at work because of course it was free to enter and the company sponsored the pot. We were broken down into teams of 3, and the winning team walked away with $1500. I didn’t win, but then again I didn’t expect to. It was just something fun to do. We’ve both talked about participating in fantasy football league online this year, but I’m still not sure if we’re going to yet. I’m definitely going to check into AFFL.com. It will all depend on the prize list for the free entry category. I’m definitely not paying to enter.
Don’t we all wish we could have our very own personal assistants to remember and remind us of important dates, keep track of appointments, dial phone numbers for us, and keep us organized? I know I would love to have one, but I don’t want to have to pay someone to do it. Now we can all have a personal assistant right on our computers. I laughed when I first read about this program, but now I really think it’s an interesting concept!
Ultra Hal Assistant 6.1 is the ultimate personal assistant for all of us. He really can keep us organized, keep track of our important dates, and dial phone numbers, and he does it without driving us crazy with stories of his family members or pets, or by making us deal with his annoying habits! Think of how wonderful it would be to have a personal assistant with doesn’t come with a weekly salary? Your personal assistant will even chat with you when you’re bored! You can start your free trial version by downloading a copy from Zabaware.com. Once you’re installed and ready to run, you can choose one of many 3D animated characters as your assistant. The character will then begin to have conversations with you. Overtime your personal assistant will learn your personality and develop their own similar to yours! You can choose to chat by voice chat or by typing!
So let’s recap everything Ultra Hal Assistant 6.1 can do!
- Keep track of important dates and remind you of them.
- Dial phone numbers for you.
- Keep you organized.
- Carry on a conversation with you to keep you from getting bored.
- Develop a personality similar to your own!
Go ahead and give Ultra Hal Assistant 6.1 a try. You’ve got nothing to lose, and if nothing else, you’re definitely going to get a good laugh out of it!
I hope everyone had a wonderful Mother’s Day. I enjoyed spending the first half of the day with my mom, grandma and my family, then we spent the second part of the day with hubby’s mom and grandma. I didn’t get a chance to see my other grandma, and I tried to call her with no answer, so hopefully I can get in touch with her tomorrow to give her a belated Mother’s Day wish.
My mom was happier with her present than I thought she would be, but then again, aren’t moms always happy just to see we got them something? She’s wanted a mother’s birthstone ring or necklace for a long time, and I finally hunted down a necklace that not only was in my price range, but it’s the first one I’ve seen that wasn’t baby booties or something else baby-related. It isn’t the perfect one, but she understands we’re really tight on cash right now, and when she pulled it out of the box she almost cried. Apparently she looked at the same one a couple weeks ago with my sister, and she almost bought it, but since my sister knew I had already bought it for her, she convinced my mom to wait until it went on sale. Sneaky tactic little sis, and I greatly appreciate it!
Hubby always gets his mom something “smell good”. He’s finally learned you can’t go wrong with candles, lotions, etc when it comes to women. Normally he makes me pick it out, then he hands it over after it’s wrapped with a nice little bow, but I was quite surprised this year when he asked me to go with him so he could pick something out for her this time. Of course, the man side of him still waited until today, so we swung by the store on the way to his parents house, and I had to wrap the present in the truck in the 5 minutes between the store and their house, but I was happy to see him carefully selecting candles. He even remembered I gave his mom a wax diffuser for Christmas last year, so he got her a nice assortment of wax discs. I had to insist on the fresh linen ones. I just love that smell! Thankfully my mother in law loved the smell so much, too, she ripped them open and lit her diffuser.
I would love to hear what everyone else got their mothers or what you mothers might have received! After all, it’s always nice to share present ideas. You may have thought of something or received something I might never think about!
I’ve had issues with smoking for quite a while. Hubby quit smoking 16 months ago, and I’ve been trying to join him in his no-smoking zone for awhile now, but I’ve had no luck. One of my best friends quit cold turkey last weekend. She just got sick of it and said no more. That’s got me thinking. Mostly I haven’t taken it seriously. I definitely haven’t been motivated to quit, and I sure haven’t tried like hell to do it. I’ve made too many excuses about why I can’t quit. We go out for the night and I’ll say “you know I smoke like a chimney only when I drink” or I’ll tell hubby I only smoke more when I’m sitting that the computer bored, but lately, I spend most of my day sitting here working online. I’ve really got to do something about this. I think about my health all the time, but it hasn’t changed anything. I always tell myself I’ll quit before it’s a problem. I’ve been telling myself that for years. When I was 20 I said I would quit before 25. Now I’m 25, really wanting to have a baby, and it’s time I make myself go through with this. I’ve got to find the willpower to do it!
I’ve tried a few ways, and of course always given in when the cravings got bad. I made it almost a full day without smoking the first day at my old job just because I didn’t know where the smoking area was in the facility. Now that I look back on it, I didn’t have a single problem with it. I came home, smoked my first cigarette around 4:30 in the afternoon, and never thought about quitting that day. If I could do that then, why can’t I do it now. Why can’t I just put them down and never think about them again. I know it’s got to be mostly psychological on my part if I can go a day without thinking about them because I don’t know where the smoking section is! It’s also a boredom thing. When I’m bored, I smoke twice as much just to have something to do.
So, I guess with this post, I’m mostly looking for advice. I’d like to hear from others who quit smoking. What worked for you, and what didn’t? How did you finally make yourself stop? Any and all advice will be appreciated.
