A few weeks ago I reviewed a product for you by DenTek, and I’ve been lucky enough to receive another product by Dentek to review. This time I got to try the product instead of turning it over to Hubby, and I’m happy to say I like it a lot. I got to try the DenTek complete clean floss. I was a great candidate for trying this product because this floss claimed to be thin even though it’s two strands twisted together. I have really tight teeth, and I have a very hard time flossing, so this stuff was perfect for me to try. I was asked to make a video review, so you’ll find that below.
If you are unable to view the video I’ll give you a quick rundown. The floss really is thin. In fact Hubby’s regular floss toothpick things are twice as thick as this floss is, and I had no problem getting it between my teeth. I’ve been flossing every night for two weeks, and that’s a big deal for me! I haven’t been able to floss in years!

We did a little Christmas shopping today, and that got me thinking about what I’d like for Christmas this year. I had to think long and hard about it, but I think I finally figured out what I want from Santa. I really wish Santa would bring me the money to get myself an online degree. I’ve been wanting to finish my education for awhile, but I just haven’t had the financial means to do so. Now that I’ve moved from work at home wife to stay at home mom status it’s even tougher for me to go to an actual college to work on my degree. Working on my degree from the comfort of my own home where I can take care of my daughter and still work everyday is definitely something I’d do, though.
I know there’s a 99.9% chance Santa won’t bring me the gift I wish for, so I do need to start thinking of other options if I really want to go back to school. A more feasible option I have is to obtain my degree through Western Governor University. Not only is WGU an accredited online educational institution, but it’s a non-profit which means the tuition is cheaper than most online universities.
WGU does offer what I want as well. I tossed out the idea of completing my biology degree a long time ago, but I’d love to do something with computers. I mean that’s really the one field that would make me happy, so I could definitely work with an online IT degree. I just need to sit Hubby down and talk to him about it. If I give him the facts and explain to him that WGA charges about $3,000 per 6 months instead of basing the price on credits he may just go for it. I think continuing my education is something that I should do not only for myself but for my daughter as well. We aren’t suffering, but I can only imagine how much better I could make her life if I had the extra income that would come along with obtaining my degree.
I was recently asked to review a dental mouth guard by Dentek that is made for people who grind their teeth otherwise known as Bruxism.
Hubby has a very bad habit of grinding his teeth, so I was more than willing to let him give this one a try. We wanted to see if it would help with the headaches and soreness he deals with every morning due to the teeth grinding and biting down on his teeth. Watch the video below to find out what we thought!
Please note this product is for teeth grinding, and it is not recommended for use as a mouth guard used for sports. It is also not recommended for use by children. As with any product if you choose to try this product do not use it for anything other than it’s intended use.

I know I’ve talked about nothing but baby talk the last few days, but you’ll have to excuse me for that. It’s the only thing that’s on my mind constantly, and I’ve realized how much I have to do!
A couple of friends have suggested that instead of setting up an account with the hospital we check out Maternity Advantage because supposedly they save you 30-50% off your final bill, then they setup payments for you. I requested some info a few days ago, and today I got a package in the mail.
It took all of 2 seconds for me to say no way am I falling for this total ripoff! First of all there’s a start up fee and monthly fees. I knew there would be fees involved, but I wasn’t expecting what I found. The packet didn’t list the fees, so a quick Google search pointed me towards $100/month fees with $199 startup fee.
I’m sorry but that’s not really saving me anything at all is it? The company claims they may be able to save me 30-50% on my hospital bills, but there’s no solid guarantee they can do that. Why would I pay them $1099 over the 9 month period when I can put that $1099 towards my account at the hospital? Better yet since I’m paying out of pocket why don’t I use that $1099 towards my prenatal care right now while I need it? That’s just for the first 9 months. I’m assuming (even though it doesn’t say) that the fee also applies every month until you pay off the account.
I honestly think I’ll save more by setting things up with the hospital ahead of time. They offer a sliding scale system that charges based on your income level, and there is little to no interest depending on the type of account we setup. I’m going to be spending enough money as it is, so why in the world would I want to throw away so much cash for a program that really guarantees me nothing?
